munging means scrambling or somehow making unredable. Most people munge their emails so that bots cannot take their addys directly off the posts, but humans can easily un munge. ex. shawsterNO@SPAMtampabay.rr.com remove no spam to reply. AFA munging headers, that takes a whole lot of effort. and is only used to confuse and redirect, or to hide the strings of a sockpuppet. alt.scuba was full of ego and puppetry. one could set up an annon remailer to the same effect.

In light of your recent informed posts on usenet, you maybe able to answer this. I have been lurking on a few groups and have found some of the discussion baffling. There seems to be a group of people who, isung a bot or bots, compete in trying to get the highest number of with content messages crossposted to certain groups. They talk about munging headers which i've looked up in google and can't make head nor tail of. Whats that all about?
