Hi there group,
This is the first time I have looked into this group and I am amazed or
something? Maybe I have not looked far enough into this group yet and so as
to not pass judgment I am going to share a short story with you all.

There was once a man and/or a woman who heard of a very wonderful place they
could go and find peace, happiness and freedom from worry.

They went to an airport terminal and around the ticket counter they saw
posters on the wall describing what to find when they arrived at this place.
Upon reading them all each said to him/herself I will think about this it
just sounds wonderful and like something I never experienced, maybe I'll do
this tomorrow.

The next day they came back and looked some more while noticing others where
showing up doing the same thing and this went on for days turning into
weeks? Soon there where some who ventured on this journey to the place where
everything sounded so good.

Some who experienced this came back however the people who stay in the
terminal did not recognize them they had changed so much. The people in the
terminal waiting area continued to come back almost everyday, and began to
get acquainted with each other as the surroundings became more comfortable.

They started sharing with each other and watching as others came back from
the visit to the place all kept hearing about. Talking amongst themselves in
the waiting area they felt comfortable and safe feeling they had really to
do no more even knowing there was something these others where getting when
they visited the place. Upon finally asking of these returning
unrecognizable people what they needed to do to get to the place they were
all told just take a few simple steps, they are but suggestions, your lives
depend on.

After 28 years of drinking and drugging and 8 felony convictions having lost
all I had life just turned bad.

Knowing I was an addict/alcoholic was not the problem. Agter stumbing into
AA I found there was a solution to this disease and that thru this
fellowship I could live joyous, happy and free and not drink and drug.

That sure sounding boring and glum what without alcohol and drugs life just
wouldn't be intersting anymore.

How I was so wrong, life is now so wonderful, far better than my wildest
dreams could ever imagine.

Take heed, If you want what we got (joyous, happy and free) do what we did.

Love and gratitude,

Jon S.

"Those who do not recover are people who cannot or will not completely

Possibly. On the other hand, she may be listening to her HP:

ready to listen to it, but is impossible to listen without silence"

Sounds like you might be a little jealious Moon. She loves her life and
shares it with others. You can always just ignore her posts. Or maybe not.
lol

Sure. You haven't been around here very long, have you? Many of the
newcomers to this group fall for the smarm and tripe she spreads just like
you apparently have. I imagine you'll get over it. Most folks with a
triple digit IQ tire of her rather rapidly. Or maybe not.

Your choice of words is excellent, but your attitude makes me to wonder if
you have worked the steps with a sponsor??

Uhhhh....I don't recall asking you for any critiques of my writing and/or
attitude.

Not that it's any of your business...but I've done the steps. In order, one
at a time, without reservation, and with a sponsor. And I didn't choke on
the spirituality of the program.
