Reflections for Beginners
from
'Hour To Hour - The First 30 Days'
- by Shelly Marshall
the author of 'Day By Day' & other Meditation Books
In this moment you may feel the most human and most powerless
time of your entire life. In the coming weeks and months, many
changes will sweep over your life and your person. Try not to hide
from the profound changes, but to understand them.

Hi Rosie: remember me? Well i am 24 days clean and sober today and
feeling great. I got a very good job a week ago too,I was unemployed
for almost a year and really depressed and having trouble staying
sober. This job requires shift work, days, afternoons, graveyard and we
rotate shifts every two weeks. If this is one of the gifts of sobriety
I am very gratefull.Joined a men's closed step group which is totally
blowing my mind,I thought I knew about AA but I realize there is so
much to this great program.I will try and post more often here, hope
everyone has another or their first 24hrs. of sobriety.Oh and BTW
Robert M. if you have anything to give me but encouragement please do
not reply.Thanks!

YES!
i remember you jim, and its great to read of your success, both in
sobriety and employment!
rotating shift work has been known to be quite tough on folks,
especially those in recovery, because it interferes with the
regularity that we are trying to establish.
but can it be done? OF COURSE!
i'm glad to read that you are finding meetings that are gratifying
for you...................that is wonderful!

read and post daily, it works!
