Reflections for Beginners
from
'Hour To Hour - The First 30 Days'
- by Shelly Marshall
the author of 'Day By Day' & other Meditation Books
When intense cravings for our drug of choice overwhelm us, we
immediately talk to another person in recovery, even if it is 4 AM.
Call your contact number, we must be here for each other!
Give me the strength to contact another clean and sober person
BEFORE I think of satisfying that craving.
the particular book that these meditations come from is sure a good
one imo..........................
folks can also add email groups to their support system.
they were not available to me when i sobered up, but i use them
liberally now, and they make a wonderful addition to my recovery
program which includes frequent sponsor contact and F2F AA meetings.
here is the link to AA meetings on line.
http://www.aa-intergroup.org/
if you go to:
http://groups.yahoo.com/ and type in the of support group (i.e.
RR) you are interested in
you will find email groups for just about everything.

the book:
LIVING SOBER

that are critical!
LIVING SOBER has tips/tools for EVERYONE who wishes to stop
drinking. if you like you can just skip the AA references.
