AA Thought for the Day
November 30, 2003

Coping
HP willing, we members of AA
may never again have to deal with drinking,
but we have to deal with sobriety every day.
How do we do it?
By learning -- through practicing the Twelve Steps
and through sharing at meetings --
how to cope with the problems that we looked to booze to solve,
back in our drinking days.

actually, i would have to say that i have had GOOD long term experience with
the treatment of my depression over the past 13yrs.
i have however had to take several different meds as each once finally
"wears
out" and i need to change.

When you were traiining as a drugs and alcohol counsellor, were you
only taught the AA way to recovery ? That is a genuine question.
