11/23/03 was my first birthday.
Wow! what a hell of a year it`s been.
I lost a job that was important to me. I prayed and waited all summer and
most of fall
for the right job to present itself. It happened just a few short weeks ago.
I love it, and I
believe it will last for as long as I want it. I don`t think I could ever
have done it and been
so patient had I still been drinking. I am truly happy for the first time in
thirty years.
It`s still early for me to give advice, but pray every day, do your best to
stay sober,
listen to your sponsor, make new friends, trust in your higher power
unconditionally,
and be ready to make sacrifices. If I can do it anyone can.
I know I have to keep working just as hard as I have been if I want to
continue to live
without alcohol.
I certainly have a lot to be thankful for.

that would suffice."

Sean,

Congratulations! Good for you! Well done!

I don't have as long as you (7 months for me, I'm getting there) but one
thing I have noticed is that I have to be especially careful when everything
is going *right* for me. The Dragon is suddenly there patting me on the back
and it is so tempting to reward myself with the very thing that drags me
down.

Enjoy your success. You deserve it.

Best wishes
George

Congratulations, and many, many more to ya. Just as many as you choose to
have as a matter of fact.
