I have been spot-reading posts from Harry, Gail and some of the others in
here who are still hurting from the booze. I know AA isn't gonna fix
everyone, and would never make that claim, but today, I have the day off,
and was wondering whether to go out to the airport, go flying, or go have
lunch with a friend, or maybe take a few runs on the the ski hill. Driving
around in my brand spanking new Chrysler. Bills paid. No enemies in my face,
no fear, no resentments that are larger than me.

Thanks AA.

Hi Stuart. Somehow I didn't see your post before I did mine ("What am I
doing here?"). It looks like we're both looking at the same bright Canadian
blue sky.

I'd pick flying. Definitely

so you think bragging, telling us about your wonderfull perfect life
with the wonderfull spanking new car ect. is helping anyone? You sure
havent made me feel any better.Im having a terrible time. Havent
worked for 8 months, the school i was enrolled to take has been
cancelled due to lack of students and my EI has run out. Struggling to
stay sober and get enrolled in a different school ,living on credit
cards and odd jobs at 47 years old. Wasnt always like that, I always
had a job in the printing industry but my trade has virtually been
wiped out by the shit economy and new digital technologys. I was never
without a job for 25 years and now im having to change careers,Im
scared shitless. Have a nice day.

Thanks Jim, I am having a nice day. Too bad you figure I could and should
"make you feel better". Maybe if you spread your misery around a bit, it
might make you "feel better".
I was unemployed and broke too, but I never lost my optimism. You are alive,
and able to communicate today. Got something to eat today?
Happiness is a state of mind Jim, and it has nothing to do with your life
situation unless you decide it should.
Good luck in your career change. I hope it works out for you.
Your problem is you depend on external "people, places and things" for your
happiness. I can't make you fell better or worse, it's all in your head,
Jim, not mine.
Give your head a shake and cheer up OK?

I'm the other direction Stuart. To the west.
Kitchener-Waterloo, the home of the second largest boozup (oops Octoberfest)
in the world, although this year I left all that to the tourists.
