does any body has read about Rational Emotive Therapy, it works for
people which even AA didn't work. It is selfhelp therapy and it not
based in the 12 step program neither is mixed with God.

Rational Emotive tHerapy is very similar to the Rational Cognitive
Behaviour Therapy (RCBT),and aims at bringing about a change in
personality by changing the belief system of the person. It is a here
and now therapy. See:

Of course it does not take account of the biological aspect of
personality.
