Article in today's Daily Mirror suggested a herb called kudzu to reduce
cravings for drink. Has anyone any experience of it, I had never even heard
of it till today.
Googling came up with info that it's considered a weed in Southern USA.
Also prices for it in capsule or tablet form vary an awful lot, what's the
difference between the cheaper and more expensive stuff/

When you hear "kudzu", the polite response is to say "Gesundheit".

I've tried herbal remedies in early sobriety, to no avail (for MYSELF).
Never tried kudzu though (don't need it now, thank God). See links
here under Medicinal uses: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kudzu

Kudzu may work I never tried it: But consider this option.
Fresh vegetables and fruits are a really good alternative to drinking.
If you can obtain a juicer then thats the way to go. The body is so
used to filtering out alcohol toxins that it will need retraining to
deal with your new life. thats where healthy and delicious nutrition
will help. Bananas are advisable. Those will help you from getting
tired. A lot of peole use alcohol as a pick me up. Sure the sugars in
it work but then the rest of the night becomes a lesson in relapse.
Avoid overdoing it on coffee. Coffee is actually a drug that can become
a catylyst for relapse. get plenty of sleep. Waking up with a clear
head in my opinion is a great way to start the day.
