Hi, my name is Mary E. I live in Rhode Island.
I had 30 days Monday (after relapsing after 6 months on meds)

Looking forward to reading what you have to say about recovery,
although, the first topic I read was offensive to me, but I do not shy
away from replying to these comments...

Lots of stuff in the world is offensive to us. That's one of the reasons why
we drank, Mary.

welcome

Welcome and keep it up! Focus on today. A lot offends me too! But you
don't have to look far on the net to get offended. The key is not to look,
or at least not react.

Hi,

Thank you, sorry about that... it was actually a different group that
offended me, and yes, it was because something hit home... I just have
to keep remembering that some are sicker than others when I read
offensive posts such as I have read over the last two days...
And I really shouldn't respond to those posts anymore... they just add
fuel to the fire.

Thanks everyone for the welcomes!

Mary

Isn't that something of a cop-out? I'm sorry but if people hit the
bottle just because they found something offensive I doubt there would
be anyone on the planet that would be sober.
