Hi Matt,
I started going to AA meetings a few weeks ago and although I have a Sponsor, I did not meet that
person at any AA meeting but rather via this NG. I chose as my Sponsor someone who appears to have
good sobriety, who has worked AA's Twelve Step prorgramme and who is someone I like and respect.. My
Sponsor is helping me to understand AA's programme and is guiding me through it. As far as I know
that is all that a Sponsor is supposed to do. If any Sponsor you chose has the kind of sobriety
that you want, would you think it sensible to follow any advice/instructions that he/she gives you ?
Yours with best wishes
