View Full Version : He's out of the hospital!!!

My husband was released from the hospital today! The doctor called &
told me that the court had not yet acted on his commitment papers & as
of 1:30pm today they were have no legal reason to hold him there
anymore against his will. He wasn't psychotic anymore & I guess they
no longer considered him a danger to himself...what about me?
I called the hospital at 3:30pm & they did not have him listed as a
patient, so I assume he checked himself out of the hospital. He had no
shoes when the police took him, only a pair of pants & a shirt I gave
them. He didn't have his keys to the house, any money or his cash
card, no coat.
I got a order of protection from the court this morning barring him
from our house or from having any kind of contact with me but they were
not able to serve the papers on him today. My husband knows that I was
planning on getting the order of protection today because I told him
last night when he called me not to call again & why.
I dropped the insurance on his car, so if he takes it he's driving
without insurance and a valid driver's license. The state should be in
the process of revoking his license right now because he was caught
drunk by the police. Any drinking at anytime reported to the state is
supposed to results in the immediate loss of his license.
I have no idea what his frame of mind must be like right now, where he
is, or what he might be doing or planning on doing. His last drink was
Sunday & he blood alcohol level was .40 when they got him to the
hospital, so he right now he's got to be hurting for booze & in bad
shape. I'm sure he's extremely angry with me right now as well.
I am going home tonight with a male friend who is going to change the
locks on my doors. I am very nervous right now.

My husband was released from the hospital today. The 72 hour psych
hold they were holding him on expired & the commitment papers had not
gotten reviewed by the court yet, so they had to release him if so
chose, which he did.
I had a friend come home with me tonight to change the locks on the
house & to make my husband's car undrivable since my husband should no
longer have a license & because I cancelled the insurance on it. He
took the distributor cap off & pulled all of the fuses out of the car.
There was no sign that my husband had been to the house.
I got a call from him at about 8:30 & he was drunk, I could tell from
his voice. He wanted to know if he could come to the house to get
some clothing & other items. I told him no, that he must not contact
me again in anyway, and that he'd have to arrange it with the police
for them to escort him into the house to get his crap. He asked what
was wrong & I hung up on him.
The phone rang again and I let the machine get it. It was a hang-up.
I do *69 to check the last number that called, did a Google search on
it, and it shows that my husband is calling from a friend's house two
blocks away. This "friend" is a sick, drunk ass who came onto my
husband last week, the friend my husband swore he'd never talk to
again or have anything to do with because of that. I always was
suspicious of how my husband interacted with that sick jerk.
The phone rings again, it is the sick friend this time asking to talk
to me on Pat's behalf. I tell the sick ass not to call me again &
that I was calling the cops. I did but they told me they could do
nothing since I hadn't been threatened. My husband hadn't been served
with the protection order yet & so technically he wasn't doing
anything wrong by calling me. They said if he showed up at the house
to call them.
A few minutes later someone is knocking on the front door--it is the
fucking friend asking me to let him in to "talk" and to get Pat's
stuff. I told yelled at him through the door that I wasn't opening it
& that I'm calling the cops. I had no idea if my husband was with
him. The cops show up a little while later but by then the ass is
gone. The cops said they'd go down to the house my husband's at &
offer to bring him back under their supervision to get his crap & to
warn him to stay away from me. I got some clothes together for him &
his shoes & coat but no one has come back. I expect that both the
idiots were mighty scared when the police showed up at the door.
There have been no more phone calls.
Man, my husband is a stupid f**k. I will call his doctor tomorrow to
see if the commitment proceedings are going to continue since I know
where is now. If either my husband or the sick ass friend show up I'm
calling 911 faster than either of them can swallow a drink. I am not
fooling around this time. I am going to get out of this situation
alive and not live in fear anymore.

As for increasingly struggling Americans, we should
start to boycott these bloated, dead institutions of
learning and the employment system that demands
obscenely expensive degrees for low-paying jobs.
The medieval reason for school was to teach trades,
and later to train for leadership. Now it is technical

So he's not your boyfriend. The previous poster may have a point. Maybe your
husband may suspect something. His mind is a bit warped after all.
dreamspinner3
11-04-2005, 10:27 AM
He doesn't even know the guy came over last night. I haven't told him,
nor will I. However, I do see the previous posters point as well.
Lord knows what is going on in my husband's head right now.

My thoughts are with you. Thought about a trip out of town by any chance? I
wouldn't be surprised if you indicated that money was tight right now,
"cause it invariably winds up that way in an alcoholic home, but maybe its
time to scrounge a little and take a bit of a vacation.

Money is very, very tight. I have no vacation time either. Still I
might stay elsewhere tonight & leave the animals at home. He isn't out
to do anything to them, what he wants to do is make me upset & unhappy.

Funny how that ALWAYS seems to be the case in an alcoholic home. Take away
the alcohol, or the alcoholic and it always amazes me just how the
prosperity level improves over time. Not to mention the improved emotional
stability and happiness. I'm not there and don't know you, or your husband,
but I can really sense you are making a decision that will be a very good
one, and you have yet to realize just how good. But you will.

I am beginning to realize how good this could be. Getting there will
be the hard, scary part.
The key emotional component that causes hard & scary conditions for you
is your own resistance to change. "Just drop off the key lee, and get
yourself free!"

Change from what is "familiar" is always uncomfortable. You seem to be a
really decent person, so hubby must have, or had some very positive
redeeming attributes in order for you to be attracted to him in the first
place. There probably still is. I could suggest focusing on the positive
anticipated outcomes, rather than the "excitement" of the current drama you
are going thru'.
a) he may get serious and get sober
b) you may be much happier
c) more money, less stress
d) later on, you may be ready for a relationship with someone healthy..
the list goes on...~!

When the locks were changed in my house. When, with the proverbial
dawning of domestic solitude preceding marital awakening, the lock
changing "handyman's" wife publicly punched out my newly ex wife.
When divorce lawyers on both sides conspired to bankrupt me. I

If *my car* had been sabotaged in a conspirital overabundance of

I'd like to think that I'm a decent person, thanks. And yes, at one
time my husband was a very sweet, loving, & intelligent man. I suppose
it is possible that his positive side is still buried within him
somewhere. Focusing on the positive aspect of things is hard for me
because I'm so used to dwelling on the negative, but I'll try.

Just drive safe, Bob. And be sure to keep watch over the rear-view mirror
when stopped at a red light. You will have less whiplash if you stand on the
brakes. This will transfer more of the kinetic energy of the vehicle hitting
you into the energy absorbing crumple zones, and reduce the amount of energy
available to accelerate your vehicle in a forward lurch.Keep the back of
your head within 10cm of the head-restraint, which should be properly
adjusted and kept at the right height for the driver at all times, Bracing a
little for impending impact has been shown to be effective also. Look
straight ahead at anticipated moment of impact. Do not look down or turn the
head to either side...

What attracted you to being a self-righteous jerk? I wasn't a drunk when my

doesn't mean they were always that way.
