The problem is too many people talk to him, but few bother to listen...
Shutup and listen for a change.
Preachy christian folk ought to be barred from 12 step recovery
programs. All they do is assure disruption and disrespect towards those
who choose to believe in a god of their own choice.
Peace,
Tim

yeah but been there made a good point and he
wasn't preachy at all about it. while leo leo was
a dumbass and fake about it been there is like
chill listen!! Not preaching one bit. That's all.

I view the mere mention of Jesus in AA as being preachy. It's akin to
mentioning Mohammed, Bible, Quran, Lord, & Allah.

I've been trying to separate "spiritual growth" with christian folk
lore.
I haven't figured it out. I can't. I'm either too smart and I question
it, or too
stupid to accept what is obvious to others. If I could find my answer,
could I cure others of whatever lurks in their souls too?
But people being preachy or sharing about
something that *they* feel good about ?
Whom am I to question *their* happiness ?
It's none of my business, is it ?
So why dwell on what *they feel* good about ?
What am I getting out of that ? Nothing.
Maybe because I trying to find what they have,
and I'm jealous because I can't ?
I don't know.

I glad your still hanging in.
Overexposure to religious doctrene from preacy folk should cause one to
dwell and ask of themslves: what makes anyone certain their's is the
right or correct religion to buy into. Then if you still choose for
yourself that which religious folk have, there's a proper place for
obtaining it and sharing in it. These places of religious worship and
sharing are commonly called churches, mosques, synagogues, etc, and
-not- AA, NA, etc.

Tim

“We give thanks to our Heavenly Father, who, through so many friends
and through so many means and channels, has allowed us to construct
this wonderful edifice of the spirit in which we are now dwelling. It
seems as though He had directed us to construct this cathedral whose
foundations already rest upon the corners of the earth. On its great
floor we have inscribed our Twelve Steps of recovery. On the side
walls, the buttresses of the A.A. Traditions have been set in place
to contain us in unity for as long as God may will it so. Eager
hearts & hands have lifted the spire of our cathedral into its place.
That spire bears the name of service. May it ever point straight
upward toward God.” Bill Wilson A.A. Comes Of Age p-234

Is spiritual growth contained only to a (particular) religious doctrene
then ?
Or do you have to have a religious experience to be spiritually aware?
Can a jew worship in a church ? A buddest in a synagogue ?
Are the physical places so unique in that they can only serve one
purpose ?
You need to discover the answers to these hpotheticals for yourself Been
There, as my comments are mere opinions. Until then, your answers are
blowin in the wind.

Of course. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
I should stick to if falling trees can be heard in the woods
and the number of angels on a pin head. These may have
a plausible solution.
Peace.
If you want to absorb some excellent spiritual guidance that isn't
religiously based, then read Chuck C's book titled "A new pair of
glasses" You'll be very glad you did.

I've just been playing around.
Spiritual growth doesn't require a religious base, and I know
that. People take this stuff *way* too seriously. Our minds
have been so bombarded with information, it's hard to learn to
slow down and observe the beauty of the moment.
Peace.

Do you realise you're taking people *way* too seriously?

Yes they can. They still make the sound even if noone is there to hear it.

I thought Pin head was a demon.
