okay, feeling really tired all the time, still a little trouble with sleep
onset but getting better, having occasional dizziness during the day. It is
the very tired feeling that is bothering me, concentration is fine though...
7UP and popcorn tonight

Stick with it, Crystal. It sounds like you're doing fine. The
tiredness will pass. In a week or two you'll have more energy than
you know what to do with.

Just wait till you brain starts working again (around the end of the first
week for me). It's a high in itself. :)

Hi Crystal,
I just returned from 2 weeks of vacation and was disconnected from the
Internet most of that time. But I see you've become pretty active on this
group - I haven't ready the boatload of replies to many of yuor posts but
since you're still here and giving sobriety a shot, it sounds like you're
hearing enough to keep you coming back.
I'm about 10 days away from celebrating my 90th day of sobriety. I started
sleeping through the night around Day 11 and was routinely sleeping soundly
around Day 15. It's the detox process - your body needs time to get used to
functioning without all the alcohol coursing through your body. I also
learned I can do just fine with 60-90 minutes less sleep than I used to get.
Go figure. Oh, and in my first 60 days, I dropped 10 pounds and lost 3%
body fat. Plus a clear head. Plus being liked by others more. Hmm...
what's not to like about all this?
The pull of a good buzz and occassional bender still does sound good - but
would I trade today's "me" for one of those again? Each day I convince
myself more and more that the answer is most definitely 'no.'
Good luck - keep hanging in. It does get better.

This morning boy did I have a heck of a time waking up, I think I'm sleeping
deeper. I did fall asleep faster last night too and I'm going to bed an
hour earlier. I was pretty tired all morning BUT then this afternoon out of
no where I got energy, I feel a tad wired and I'm I'd like to go walk it off
but its raining out! now I have to find something to do with myself

I found myself feeling pretty wonky for the first month or even three. Up
and down and around and around, but as time went on it smoothed out pretty
good. After awhile it started feeling pretty darned good...
Today I feel better than I ever have in my whole life! I mean, by light
years, and I'm 51 this year...
