I haven't tried it, but for those that have I think while it is helpful, there are some mixed results. For alcohol addiction, I have found a combination of Antabuse, good diet with vitamin supplements, moderate exercise and a secular support group to be extremely effective. I think motivation to be the primary factor among all in success or failure of any method in overcoming addiction.
