View Full Version : It is good!
Hi All - Just to report that it is glorious not drinking! Last night went to
an AA meeting and driving home at 9 'o clock I thought what a privilege to
be driving sober at that time of night. There is so many things that I can
be gratefull for! Thank you so much for being here for me.
Kind regards
Mias

Nice, isn't it? Since I rarely drink and NEVER drink and
drive, it's a good thing to know that I've nothing to
worry about except for my car breaking down on the highway...
or being killed by a drunken driver.
Otherwise, I'm a sober driver with no weapons of mass
destruction and my vehicle is registered and insured.
And I also wear my seat-belt, obey the speed limits and
use my turn signals. Scott is good driver.

Hi Mias,
I know what you mean. This afternoon I drove around some DIY stores to find
wood for a project. I spent some time in my garden and did some babysitting
for my daughter earlier this evening. A full and satisfying day.
Five years ago I would have been in the pub at lunchtime, driven home over
the legal limit, polished off a litre and a half of wine and been in bed by
the time I type this E-Mail, waking up tomorrow hating myself with a mouth
like the bottom of a budgie's birdcage and a stomach like Mount St Helens.
Today I did so much more. Every day without alcohol is a bloody miracle.
Best regards to all who have helped me in the past. I don't come on the NG
much nowadays but am very content with my real life right now.
To those who haven't made it yet, hang in there. It's worth it.
Aye,
George
& the Dragon
Thanks for sharing guys.
