I got sober without going into a detox facility... But I didn't have seizures
and so I can't tell you anything from experience. Are you sure you want
to go through this on your own???

Lisa,
I don't know about detoxing at home, but if you've been to rehab before,
maybe once you detox you should try something else. AA's definition of
insanity is trying to do the same thing over and over and expecting
different results.

How old are you, Lisa? I've been thru the system many
times. Only problem is that I can't buy a handgun anymore
after the 5th detox as they call you a problem substance
abuser. Oh well.

they seem to be everywhere, don't they?
;)
Dear Lisa
I was able to afford 'good' rehabs in the beginning and later worked my way
down to a state mental hospital, where they said they could not help me
because I was an alcoholic and the work with mental patients. I landed there
because I tried to commit suicide.
My advice is that you go to AA and somewhere there you will find a solution.
Or, go to a state rehab if you must and THEN go to AA to make sure you do
not need the state bit again.
Kind regards
Mias

Does you medication say, "Drink with alcohol?" Mine never did.

Last time I was sent to what you might consider a horrible hospital , it
became one of the biggest blessings in my life.
You did just say in your post that you would continue to get help didn't
you? How and where?
If you are getting medications, do you have a doctor? Can you be honest and
tell him/her what you are doing and what you want to do?
It is really up to you whether you get outside help or try to do it on your
own. I and others in here can only suggest to you to get outside help and
where you can get it.
