He seems to be doing ok, I got him in a recovery house to give him
some time to get his head right, then he wants to go to sober living.

He is concerned if he moves to fast he will violate his parole and end
up back in prison.

So he seems to be on the right track, time will tell.

Interesting how many calls I have received of offers to take him to
meetings or to interact with him in some way.

He was somewhat taken by how many strangers were welcoming him with
open arms, he even got a few hugs...........lol he said "Damn its been
a long time since I had been hugged"

He cut my grass and it was the first time he used a lawn mower in
about 30 years, he a lot to catch up on.

That's good. I wish him the best. I know that here they put some pretty
strict guidelines for them when just out on parole. I have a friend I met
while volunteering at the prison. She is doing good. She works, goes to AA
and does everything required of her. She isn't required to go to AA. She
does that on her own. Another girl that I thought a whole lot of left or got
thrown out of the halfway house that she was in, went back into a bad
relationship (if that's what you want to call pimping) and I am sure the
drugs. I kinda pray she will have to go back to prison and finish her
sentence for her sake.

Something going around. I was bragging last week that I hadn't been sick.

Heck yeah! Especially if she is doing all the work and giving him the money.

I wish she could at least get strong enough to turn the tables and pimp his
sorry ass out, let him do the tricks for the money or drugs and then him go
home and have her say, "I love and missed you baby." Right! She's a big ole
girl. It could happen....LOL

How weird. I've had the exact same symptoms also since last
Tuesday and so have my neighbors and my roommate. Nobody
knows if it's a flu bug, an upper respiratory infection or
if the government is testing biological weapens on us again.

Whatever it is, it's pretty nasty. I coughed so hard the other
day that I couldn't even take a full breath, my head was throbbing,
my throat itched, I couldn't eat or sleep etc etc. It's been so
bad that a "friend" brought me a Metadose tablet about an hour
ago to see if that would help with the cough. I hope that it
does because this has been pure misery.

I know what you mean, Scott. Here it is 4 in the morning and I am coughing
my head off and have been for the past hour. Fixed me a hot cup of theraflu
and am sitting here sipping on that. Thought my throat was some better but,
it is really hurting this morning.

I may have to try that. I felt somewhat better yesterday. Got up this
morning and feel really bad. Sore throat is back. If you find out how long
this stuff last, let me know.
