Hello all. I've been lurking but thought today was a good
time to post.

We have passed several milestones ourselves lately, and
since my husband returned home at the end of February, our
lives have slowly been returning to normal.

He says it took him a solid 2 months to adjust to being
home again after rehab, and I think that's about right
for me too. He continues to attend meetings on a regular
basis, but not so many as when he first came home, which is
I suppose to be expected.

He had one slip, in May, but caught himself and took
action immediately, and all has been well since then.

We went on vacation, and the nightmare of last years vacation
has finally been put to rest for me. I am finishing up my
work with my therapist - yesterday he gave me the good news
that he feels I'm ready to be cut loose from our weekly
sessions. Hooray!

I feel good, and we have made alot of progress, together.
The trust is starting to return. He has gone back to work,
in his regular position, rather than the provisional status,
and that makes him very happy. We're still chipping away
at the mountain of bills, but as BM suggested, they'll all
be taken care of in good time - and were not our main focus.
in early recovery. Thanks for that reminder.

Today is my 50th birthday, and the world looks much brighter
than is did last year at this time, so what's another digit
on the scorecard of life!

Thank you all for your kind words, and positive suggestions.
It has really meant alot to me, and has helped me more than you
will ever know. Best wishes to you all.

Happy 50th Birthday Kai, and Best Wishes for the year ahead!

How after a mostness of hurt
does flower a sunrise of joy.
How never does awfulness stay
where planets are children of stars.
How warmly a candle lights up
in blackmost recesses of night.
How grieving and torment give way
to palpable peace in the heart.

Happy Birthday! You have the same birthday as Andy Warhol and Lucille
Ball. Also Geri Estelle Halliwell, whoever that is. Hmm .. looked it
up, I guess she's one of the spice girls, ginger spice to be exact...

Nice to hear from you. It sounds like everything's going well -
that's great.
