For us, if we neglect those who are still sick, there is unremitting
danger to our own lives and sanity.

I know the torment of drinking compulsively to quiet my nerves and
my fears. I also know the pain of white-knuckled sobriety. Today, I
do not forget the unknown person who suffers quietly, withdrawn and
hiding in the desperate relief of drinking. I ask my Higher Power to
give me His guidance and the courage to be willing to be His
instrument to carry within me compassion and unselfish actions. Let
the group continue to give me the strength to do with others what I
cannot do alone.

The name I post under is my name--look it up in the Denver phone book if you
want. My phone number is on the local contact list that is given out around
12 times a week to new people who come to my home AA group. The email
address that comes along with my posts is mine.
Want to get clean and sober? Want help? Willing to do something about it?
Email me, call me (sorry I won't take collect calls-I'm currently nearly
broke) Sorry you had bad luck in approaching people at AA meetings, I don't
walk away from people who really want help.
