today's meeting

just got back from a local AA meeting and wanted to share how
wonderful it was!

the meeting is typically a step/topic group and the women who had
"the lead" decided to read from a self-help book of some
kind.............jesus, positive thinking, wishing and believing"
type book.............................

i listened in order to hear, but heard nothing................so i
spent sometime sitting quietly and spelling backwards the words:
PATIENCE AND TOLERANCE.

after awhile we broke up in groups, and i had the privilege to be in
a non-smoking group with five wonderful old timers who shared their
wisdom, experience, strength and
hope..............................we ended up talking about KISS
(keep it simple stupid/sweetheart)

it was wonderful!
