Mother: "Son, do you have the Oedipus Complex?"
Son: "Hunh? What's that???"
Mother: "Well, it's when a boy loves his mommy, and gets jealous when
mommy likes another man."
Son: "Oh. Old-Alabama-ish Complex, you mean."

Dear Rocky - I would love to hear what your definition of a rock-bottom,
that would be sufficient unto thee, would be. Mine was when I could not
imagine life with or without booze any longer. Took a long walk into the sea
then and the water turned out to be too cold. Final rock-bottom was a state
mental hospital and two months later when, sloshed, I did the twenty
questions and got a full score. I laughed and thought I will give those
bastards a try because if they knew all the right questions they might know
some of the answers. By the way, I owe my life to AA and see it as a bit
common to criticise harshly that which worked for me. Like denying a
solution to others. Believe in keeping it simple and trying to stay honest
and to remember my last rock-bottom lest I need yet another..
Kind regards
Mias

I was only given one to answer. It was sufficient to finish me off :)

At that moment, i was released from solitary confinement.

....on my own recognizance...

but everyone observes with amused skepticism...including myself...

To be clear, the question was:
'So, you still think you can beat this thing?'
