I don't want to own anything here other than my comments and ideas. If this
public forum is unable to support the exchange of information in a manner
that allows members to exchange ideas (which it is not) than its useless
trash and a waste of time and effort. My actions the last two days occurred
for one purpose only, and that was to expose those who can not restrain
themselves from disrupting even a simple sharing of personal experience. I
did this by starting several posts concerning Recovery, Gratitude, and one
even named "Focus on the Solutions. I didn't try to control this newsgroup,
I just asked members to limit their comments to the topic I had posted so I
might be able to read their experience, strength, and hope concerning these
few topics without being forced to read all the side comments and continual
grievances against other members, but this wasn't possible in even one of
the four threads I started.
I was brought up to respect others and to allow them to express their ideas,
but there are limits to this rule when it is negated by people who disrupt
the conversations of others just to impose their thoughts on some unrelated
idea (this is what children do when adults talk). I only requested that
members restrain themselves for making unrelated comments on four threads
here. I didn't try to control who posted in these threads, what topics
anyone else could start if they didn't like mine, or what was said in other
threads. I simply asked to for some minimal cooperation and found that this
is impossible here.
Posting information here concerning Recovery is a waste of my time and the
trashing of posts which occurs here is dangerous to anyone who comes here
seeking help. I would suggest that anyone who has a sincere desire to help
other alcoholics to direct their efforts elsewhere and to allow the darkness
generated here to completely consume this forum into oblivion.
I leave all the rest of you so you can be free to enjoy your personal
hatreds, self-limiting fears and hatred of God, and the pursuit of the
grudges you have against the ideas of people you cant even see (what a waste
of effort and life).
Good bye,
Julie

Then why do you try to control everyone else?

You being of course the one to judge just what are "ideas" and what
"useless trash".

That's your opinion. Here's another one: your actions the last two
days occurred because you're either under heavy sedation or because
you're a control freak who has a sharp learning curve ahead,
especially if you keep on trying to obsessively control things you
absolutely cannot control. Like what anyone else posts to which thread
in the Usenet.

So far so good...

Uh huh.

I see your problem. You don't understand that trying to control what
people post in a given thread is trying to control what people post in
a given thread.

You being the one to judge what's "unrelated", of course.

So posting "recovery" is a waste of your time, but posting gazillions
of idiotic rants about how other people don't act the way you want
them to, is worth your while?

Whining? What part of 'worthless imbecile' is whining? Only an imbecile
could draw such a conclusion. You just made my point again.
Control freak? How did your imbecilic mind come up with that? I'm not
trying to control anything -just pointing out reality: you are a worthless
imbecile. I mean it too. -Fred

LOL
Very mature, very "recovery" related stuff you post there, Freddie.
Wish I had what you got. You forgot to say I'm a worthless imbecile
because I argue and call people names.

Yeah, I bet you do wish you have what I have -brains. Compared to you and
your buddies General "Buck" Turgidson and Major Bat Guano, I'm Dr.
Strangelove.

Fred, with the arguable exception that "the clock" has *not* run
anywhere, are you seeking topical gratitude? Not for merely telling
us, for showing us, as well?
Exemplary denunciations, indeed!

Of course you are. It's refreshing to meet someone who not only acts
like one but also openly admits to being a Nazi.

Just being self-mockingly facetious, actually. You know, the original point
being how legitimate posts here get hi-jacked into petty squabbles, and here
I am being the pettiest of squabblers... :)

Hey, what kind of name is Kia, anyway? Sounds oriental. I just wish Slim

still there... And I really mean it. -Fred

Wouldn't know, really. Who are you asking?

I bet most things "sound oriental" to you. Except Big mac, of course.
Chicken Nuggets is already on the adventurous side.

Of course you do. That comes naturally to people who are lame enough
to resort to name flames and then fail even at it.
Meanwhile, you're doing a great job at fighting against petty squabbles.
