From "A Late Start:"

"I am free to laugh all my laughter, free to trust and be trusted,
free to both give and receive help. I am free from shame and
regret, free to learn and grow and work. I have left that lonely,
frightening, painful express train through hell. I have accepted
the gift of a safer, happier journey through life."

I tend to agree with the airhead... I think she needs

Nothing but another attack concerning anti-depressants. If you don't think
they help people then go to alt.support.depression and tell them.
Stop wasting our time and talk about RECOVERY.ADDICTION.ALCOHOLISM.
Tanks a lot,

Curious. When I was prescribed such meds I had a foray into that
newsgroup. I found plenty of people who were struggling with
withdrawals from the "non-addictive" stuff. Being alcoholic, this was
not good news to me, but it was exactly what I needed to hear.
