Re: George &The Dragon - second month
Well, its been almost two months. The Dragon doesn't bother me nearly as
much but when he does he's b***dy dangerous. Last week I was on my way home on my half-day off, and suddenly found myself on the road to the pub, where I would normally have three or four pints before - yes - driving home to get started on the real stuff. "It's all right", I thought to myself, "I'll just drive by and see who's on the patio. I don't need to go in". Then I thought, "Maybe just a pint". That's when I realised the Dragon was driving. Ever tried to wrestle a Dragon from behind the steering wheel of a car? It ain't easy. Somehow I got him out and over into the back seat. He was sqealing and whining and threatening and complaining, but I managed to get the car turned around and headed home. He quietened down as we got into the driveway and I thought he'd had enough. But do you know what? As soon as we got into the kitchen he gave me a nudge in the ribs and whispered "How about a vodka and tonic?" Imagine that. The cheek! I threw him out the back door. Two months next week. George |

Re: George &The Dragon - second month
sure sounds familiar george!
several times after i quit drinking, i would find myself going directly to the cabinet that contained my wine glasses, getting one out, and going directly to the refrigerator. open it up and just stand there, wondering how that happened! congrats on your success, ONE DAY AT A TIME. -- read and post daily, it works! rosie bitterness imprisons life; love releases it. ...................... harry emerson fosdick "George &The Dragon" <george@dragon.ca> wrote in message news:1prLa.7409$iM4.1077773@news20.bellglobal.com. .. > Well, its been almost two months.
