I'm very sorry to hear that your life could be better. I'll be hoping that very soon things will
improve.

Happily is thanks to an online AA group earlier today - got some very
good advice that helped me think a lot of things through.

Yep - only discovered it this week. The first one was well weird, but
then found one that was very supportive and helpful. Was able to share
my problem and situation with those there who did not - thankfully -
simply quote mantra, but offered their own thoughts and experiences
which I found much easier to relate to.

Happy to say all is now on track.

Oh - and a quick belt of honey when things got REALLY tough also seemed
to do the trick!

that is my experience with the AA meetings that i attend, both FACE TO FACE and ONLINE.
other recovering alcoholics sharing THEIR experience, strength, and hope is what saved my life, i have no doubt about
this.
i tried to READ my way into sobriety, it didn't work!

i am thrilled for you jonathan!

it did, but not until i was already sober!
drunk, there would have been no rosie, no recovery, no taking AA BIG BOOK and sponsor advice to seek out medical help,
for medical problems.

How do the On line meetings work? are they real time? is it just a series of
shares, or is there some interaction?

Like a real time chat room. There are several - the first one had about
50 members and was chaotic. One was supposed to go through the chair but
no-one did - so worth checking several - that was an AOL one. Do a
google for AA online and see what you come up with.

Bets of luck - be in town tomorror and friday.
