Almost 2 years...
Hello all:
My utmost apologies for not being on this newsgroup for a while. It's been quite a long time since I have posted anything telling about my progress and how I am handling sobriety. I am still sober, I haven't had one drop of alcohol since I was on here last and I don't plan on relapsing nor do plan on any "recreational" drug use. I did have a situation where I ended up in the hospital for a couple of days because I was prescribed percocet and it constipated me. Long story short, my colon blew up and I had to go to the emergency room and they gave me morphine and Benadryl. I did not like having either drugs in my system. So it has been almost 2 years since declaring my sobriety. As of August 28, 2007 I will be officially 2 years sober (minus the trip to the hospital). Needless to say, I haven't been to an AA meeting for quite some time as I feel I don't need to attend (some people might disagree and will suggest that I DO attend but I just feel right now that I don't have to). I had problems with depression and thoughts of needing a drink before but I do everything to keep myself from thinking about it and it's all a day to day conquest. It's all not as hard for me as it used to be. Yet, I KNOW, there is always that chance that I could relapse. I am looking forward to keeping up this momentum. Thank you for everyone's support. Happy health and life to all of you. Monty |

You only have to go until you want to go.(of coarse it's your own choice) I had problems with depression and thoughts of needing a drink > before but I do everything to keep myself from thinking about it and > it's all a day to day conquest. It is not all about us today. ) |

You are either going to rot in Hell, or you recovered from your drinking.
