God
Using God as I understand Him was one of the worst things I have ever
done in my life. I'm sober 28 years now. I'm not looking to influence anyone or preach. Its just my experience. |

I do not go along with the God of some others understanding. Most likely, it is the same God, just different opinions of what that God wants, can do, is capable of doing, etc. Example: I despise most rap music, but I don't believe that God despises it. Another: example: Chris Angel is a fantastic illusionist, but God is the master illusionist. I wonder if the people that call themselves Christian even think further than going to church every Sunday so they can get to heaven. I heard a song on the car radio the other day. I believe it was Patty Label. Not sure of the name, but it went something like, "Walking around in heaven all day." You know, my belief is that would be boring as hell! I could give rats butt if the streets are paved with gold. I do believe that there has to be something more than this crap we go through here on this Earth, and a reason that we do go through it. I just don't believe it is to walk for eternity on paved streets of gold and do nothing but worship God. That seems very selfish and boring to me. Not to worry, I have already told the God of my understanding how I feel about that, and I believe God wants more for me than to sit on my ass in another life, or do nothing but walk around for eternity. I am very interested in what you mean, though. Best, Gail |

I don't want to be their judge, even though I think I am some times. |

Did God get terrible cranky with you for trying to *use* Him? Didn't you ever stop giving orders long enough to remember it's supposed to be the other way round, *Him* using you? -- Bob "we all took turns there spouting off about how we had changed our lives overnight, how many drunks we had saved and straightened out, and last, but not least, how God had touched each of us personally on the shoulder. Isn't that about the same idea as if we were all waiting for God to do something, we'd be waiting forever? |

Compared to doing what *can* be done, that's not the same difference at all. -- Bob |
