Rocks, bats, knives, chains, automobiles, name-calling, gossip,
character assasination, fisticuffs, passive aggression, sarcasm, time,
patience, humor, tenacity, willingness, love, reason, wisdom, humor,
hobbies and other distractions, exercise, voodo magic, understanding,
empathy, compassion, prayer, meditation, medication... to name a few.

I've been known to make phonecalls at 2am and then
hang up...

And I also do a very effective pout too!

Try pouting out of a car window going 90 mph. You'll slap yourself
silly and get spit in your ear.

Yeah, there's that too. I've been making amends out of sequence, but
I'll do that anyway.

Isn't there some 4th step workbook that sort of holds your hand through
all this?

I'm to do some brainstorming diagrams/journaling on how to start dealing
with the various issues in my life. One of those is an internet
addiction.

The instructions for step 4 are in the bb. they're just too simple to get
for most of us. I recommend reading step 4 in the 12and12 first. Then get a
piece of paper and pen and make a list of all those you folks you resent in
one coluomn, the cause in another, and what it affects in another. In the
fourth coloumn, make a note of what you did to get the resentment ball
rollling. Chances are if you have few resentments as most of us, the entire
list is goona look pretty stupid. And you know how we alkies hate to look
stupid.

While you're at it why not take the 8 hours and listen to the Joe and
Charlie talk. Helped me a lot and saved my program

Typically people who chose to take this path avail
themselves of a sponsor first.... It's not something many
AAer's would suggest that you do alone.
