Thankyou everyone :o)

To everyone that applied to my first post to this group- a HUGE thanks to
you all. Your advice about alonon was great. I had no idea it even existed.
I have already looked up information for it in my area.

I guess today wasn't that bad. Dad was home today, and I find her not
drinking when he is. He left at 6pm today for night shift, and by 7 I
noticed her facial twitching was apparent, which means she is on her way to
becoming drunk. Thank god it was later at on at night so it was her bed time
in a few hours. I found her hiding spot for her alcohol today- I empty
little bits out at a time. Not sure if this is such a good idea- if she
should ever notice I guess all hell would break loose. I guess its a risk I
take. I figure the less in her, the better. But I am all an amateur at this-
so I do not know what is the right or wrong thing to do. I am definitely
going to give Alonon a try.

Thanks once again, all your replies were greatly appreciated.

Paul

Pouring out an alcoholics booze is pointless--they will always just go
and get more and what have you accomplished? I mean think about it,
what good is it doing YOU do pour her booze out? I used to pour out
my husband's booze all the time and it didn't make one bit of
difference to him--he just went out and bought more. All it did for
me was make me more crazy in my belief that I somehow could control
him and get him to stop drinking.
