When I finally did get here, if "my own religous beliefs" had been working
for me...... I would not have needed to get here.... I hope the Buddhist
finds peace.

Just a thought....

I don't think religious beleifs are a cure for alcoholism. I think the
reason why the 12 step programme works for so many is that it helps sufferes
embrace their true selves (whatever that may be)
