rosie, that traditional hypocritical "esoteric bullshit" is one of
your more amusing examples of AAspeak, or more accurately in this
instance, traditional esoteric AAshout.

Nevertheless, for you to provide even one example of free to air paid
TV advertising that is *not* public information would, of necessity,
adorn my smirk with humble pie.

Re: 12 step????????

robert,
in the USA we have "required" public service announcements.
they are required of each and every station on the airways.
the AA "commercial" of which you speak, is one of them.
i have the vaguest idea of how your country deals with this!

A list of AA service locations and times could honestly be
classified as a public service announcement. Any addition to that,
such as the highly debatable, "it works," is promotion *as distinct*
from attraction.

However, what I saw on TV was simply AA promotion without *any*
service announcements, at all.

tweetie, it does seem that in your country, arfers could actually be
correct, in that as a result of effective lobbying, AA recruiters can
depend on media outlets being "required" to donate airtime at no cost
to AA.

No, he's a buddhist. He wants to be sobriety, not religious conversion.
Still he has ad-action and my best wishes.

Buddhists are people to subect to the same emotional traumas as everyone
else. Buddhist or not if someone is abused as a child it's going to damage
him as an adult.

Are you speaking as a buddhist, experienced buddhists or as one who is
subscribing to stereotypes?
