I've got to talk to someone
I had never finished high school, during my time in school i thought i
was better than everyone else. I was in my own world the system was beyond me i was above it. I'm sure most of you will fine an abundance of gramital errors in this and rip me apart, and i deserve it. I did well at one point. Not too long after leaving school I found I had a talent for sales, I worked for a company that sold speakers out of the back of a van. The whole thing was a scam the speakers were made in mexico by a company owned by the same guy who ran the sales oranization in North America and even Urope. The deal was you would drive around in a white van and look for a mark. The mark was anyone who looked under 40 and drove an expensive car. The pitch was "Hay buddy, could you use a good set of speakers!" what followed was a story of how we were on our was to an installation job at whatever large nightclub was in the area and the mark would know of and the shipper screwed up the order and gave us to extra speakers unsigned for. We, my partner and I, would get anywhere from $300 to $1000 per pair becouse of course these were the best and latest things in speakers! They were in actual fact worth no more than $20 a pair, if they worked at all. I eventually worked my way through various telemarketing firms then telecom firms to eventially become a sales executive at WorldCom commanding an $80k salary. I like to tell people that it was Worldcoms collapes that was the cause of my demise. But the truth is that is was my drinking and drug use. After worldcom I scamed my way into another high paying jod at a company called RSL com, I was another account executive/ presales engineer. anyway samething different story same result. I have posted here before, i'm spewing now maybe becouse I'm drunk maybe becouse I have to unload. I did well at one point, I think. I'll continue the story later......................................... What i'd realy like to do is swing from a strong branch, but I can't. salary. |

So, you are saying if you had a bigger salary, you wouldn't feel so rotten and feel compelled to drink? Tell you what, in my humble opinion, drinking never helped me in the desire to attain a "bigger salary" department. |

Re: I've got to talk to someone
I was once a "mark" for those speakers. I didn't buy them. It seemed
like a scam.
