2 weeks sober
I just want to announce today is two weeks. I
didn't have as many struggles as i thought i'd have this weekend. Some of my drinking friends aren't calling me, i'm not calling them either. I can't be around them, cause they drank at least as much as i did. All we did was go to parties and bars when we hung out. We never did anything sober, and i know if i went to there houses they'd be drinking, and ask me if i wanted one, without regard to my program.> I know because i've been through this before on a different quit in which i didn't go to AA. I didn't have much of a program then. I'm going to meetings now, reading the big book, trying to get a program going, get moving on the steps better. Overall i feel good about myself. Hard being i will have to find new friends, don't get me wrong i have some true friends who i'll remain friends with, but some i don't really foresee it (were they all real friends to begin with??), so that's hard, but i need to do whatever i need to do to keep myself sober. That's all. Thanks for listening. Bryan |

Re: 2 weeks sober
That really bothers me using code names on graves.
This whole Iraq thing has really turned out to be a mess. I thought it was a hoax from the beginning and it has stayed the course. |
