Maybe, quite a number of them run business meetings. If you go to www.aa-intergroup.org you'll find there details of groups and how to join them. It isn't just the sexual opportunism, although it's always pretty horrible when someone takes advantage of people who are already weakened, vulnerable and needing help. The worst part is that it interferes with the real help that the target was looking for when they came into the rooms. If one of the after effects of that kind of opportunism is to drive the person back out to drinking, it can amount to some kind of homicide. A lot of the people with this particular set of problems are dealing with issues of self loathing that are some of the reasons they are self medicating with alcohol. Being used by someone to whom they were looking for help can aggravate those feelings and send them back into the downward spiral. Stuff to avoid, eh? Dan |
