My Sister
I posted here a couple of times back in January/February because my sister
was in hospital - she WAS an alcoholic. I can go on and on about her life, but i am sure you have all heard the same sort of stories before, if not be living them or have lived them before. She was 43......luckily no children......she was still in the Chapel of Rest in her bed on the day of her 44th birthday....... how surreal that was, seeing her on her birthday but not being able to talk to her...... I, as a sister who loved her dearly, miss her so much and am having terrible problems coming to terms with this. I need help. She wouldnt get help, but now i need it and i dont know where to go. I could help alcoholics struggling, without a doubt, but i am unable to help myself. Please think of who you leave behind, the heartache for your family, your parents and your friends, when you are told "one more and it will kill you"....I see that every day i look in the mirror and look at my parents' faces. Anyone who can point me in the right direction will be forever in my debt Thank you all Caroline -- Practice Random Acts of Kindness, and Senseless Acts of Beauty |
