need to stop

I am not in denial, I am an alcoholic and I need to stop drinking and I
can't. I have been here before.

"...been here before." What did you do when you where before? What are you
willing to do different this time? 'cuz last time didn't work. And yes you
can stop drinking.

I can relate, for that particular metamorphosis is not unique to
women. Obviously, as a rule, that "wrong person" simply refuses to
permit the recovery of what eventually appears to be forever lost.

There is a proven solution, but it does require self honesty that the
"wrong person" has become skilled at ignoring.

If you cannot stop on your own, you need to seek help.
If you describe your situation, there will be many around
here who will offer some advise based on their experience
and knowledge. (Also check out alt.recovery.aa - the better
and more popular newsgroup that also deals with alcoholism,
not necessarily AA only).

In any case, talking to your doctor is the first and
probably the most important thing to do. Good luck!

Who said this newsgroup deals with AA only? Plenty of other options
get discussed. If alt.recovery.aa deals with issues or recovery
options not related to AA, apparently you're directing someone to a
newsgroup that stays off-topic from its charter.

Post your issues on www.peoplesproblems.co.uk - it's a website for
discussing issues, and learning from other's experiences.
