Shhhhh. I'll contact you later and set you up with my dealer. This
is an email and not on the group isn't it? That would really blow
my cover if I accidently posted this to the group! ;-)

: I'm convinced that AA's 12 Step programme is a far more effective
tool

: antidepressants

a PERFECT example of situational depression, is when you can use the
12 step program to lift it!

let me say it again:

IT IS TWO DIFFERENT TYPES OF
DEPRESSION............................one needs therapy and/or
medication, and the other simply needs a "good 12 step program".

"let me say it again"?

rosie the evader continues to evade the fact I was first
diagnosed with depression app 5 years *before* I started
drinking, so not surprising to see her tell outright fiction
to rationalise her drug habit.

JB, do you have any idea what the difference between endogenous
depression and exogenous depression is? I didn't think so.

A little hint for you. Exogenous Depression is the type that is
triggered/caused by things outside the body. It's the type that
people can often get over with the proper attitude and/or therapy.

Endogenous Depression comes from within the body. It is in the
persons chemistry, a chemical imbalance. Sort of like having
cancer. You can think all the happy thoughts you want, but you
can't think it away.

Tono, your theory is certainly what our "medico" drug
dealers would have us believe.

Interesting how those justifying their drug dependence on a
so called chemical imbalance, are unable to disclose how
their particular "imbalance" is actually measured.
Interesting too, how they avoid the hypotheses that if there
were indeed an holistic imbalance reflected by incorrect
thinking, surely it could be rectified by the application of
correct thinking.

The Great Chemical Imbalance Hoax

Harvard psychiatrist Joseph Glenmullen (
http://tinyurl.com/36y6d ) reports that in spite of the
"absence of any verifiable diseases," psychopharmacology has
"not hesitated to construct 'disease models' for psychiatric
diagnoses. These models are hypothetical suggestions of what
might be the underlying physiology-for example, a serotonin
imbalance."

The cornerstone of psychiatry's disease model today is the
concept that a brain-based, chemical imbalance underlies
mental illness. While popularized by heavy public marketing,
it is simply psychiatric wishful thinking. As with all of
psychiatry's disease models, it has been thoroughly
discredited by researchers.

Perhaps if you make an attempt to comprehend the
ramifications of what *you* say, would probably be a good
place to start comprehending what others say.
