Yeah sadly too few are in fact tested--costs money and most people (alas
not me) have medical ins. that won't authorize the test but will pay for the
symptoms being treated. Sorry to say but a person does need to take action
themselves and carefully find their own primary care Doc --it can be done
even for "self pays" like myself.
As to the lady bit- well I'm not free of all that delusional thinking of
the past-- but I'm workin' on it, I'm workin' on it. Damn and I thought I
was so fucking clever too<g>

" Many professional and lay people today think depression
can be caused by "chemical imbalance" in the brain even
though none of the "chemical imbalance" theories of
depression have been verified. Some of them are discussed
by Dr. Andreasen in her book The Broken Brain."

I read and agree with your sentiments here and your post about "trade
secrets" Looks like we did have some effect in the 60's and the
multi-nationals are now boring from within on us ( please Joe--say it ain't
so)
Please remember each group stands alone. I don't care if the regional, nay
even the National becomes a branch of the Republican National Committee (
John spiting on the ground, making the sign of the cross and looking for
some garlic) I will still visit as often as possible my second family.

Not really all that original to be sure but one of the things I bring up in
my home group from time to time, is what Pogo said many years ago " We have
met the enemy--and he is us". It is after all what the 4 th step is all
about ( that is no original thought on my part either) and all those
stinking gratitude meetings wear thin on me.

I copied and pasted from the AA grapevine website,
http://www.aagrapevine.org/archive/b...tFrontier.html
before the AA organisation stooped to pecuniary lengths in
making a profit from what was freely given to them, so
deleted that link.

Amends? What person was harmed?

Do they know that?

Who is lending the AA name to outside commercial enterprise such as
the women's quilting circle and sellers of treatment center
paraphernalia et al?

I've only gotten as far as 'have met the enemy--and it is not them'.

Not quite willing to take anything like personal responsibility for
*that* mess.

However, although it may not be mine to fix the whole thing, neither
is it mine to fully absolve myself.

Jeez, rosie. Are you still attempting your inept online
diagnosis, or are your drugs pooping again?

Bob
