But but but, ....... recognisable also by her daily pasting of sacred
proclamations, that's the superior "quality AA" that Rosie proclaims to
deliberately superimpose here.

Before the arrival of her exemplary "Love and fellowship", AKA the softer
easier way, this group had survived with a common element of caring, despite
regular, and almost irreconcilable differences of opinion.

The choice to exclude was yours, although now I do endorse it;-)

Hmmm - one of the first comments I received was: your recovery is
immaterial to me. Very caring.

Oh, I must have missed it. In context of that quote, rosie invented lies
about you, too? All I noticed was the way she sucked up to you.

Maybe you need to read what was actually said, rather than what you
thought was said.

If my recovery was dependant upon whether or not you (or anyone else)
recover, I'd be in a lot of trouble. That's a fact. Why? Because the
vast majority of alcoholics are just not willing to do whatever they
need to do to get and stay sober.

There's also a difference between "caring" and "ego-stroking". If
anyone wants their ego stroked when that very ego is clearly what got
them into such a mess in the first place, they're in for a rough ride.
And those who stroke egos are those who'll happily watch the
individual go right back out and drink again. Recovery from
alcoholism is based upon rigorous honesty, which is almost never the
same as what a newcomer wants to hear.
