Reflections for Beginners
from 'Hour To Hour - The First 30 Days' - by Shelly Marshall the author of 'Day By Day' & other Meditation Books Many times non-program people will go off on tangents of what religious, spiritual, or philosophical paths we now take. We do not engage with this type of conversation. We simply know that we will not drink or use drugs this hour and we will hang around other people who are doing the same thing. I don't need to figure anything out right now. It is alright to not engage in any confrontation and simply be in recovery. |

I was at first offended, but after some thought I decided that if it made her feel better, it didn't cost me anything at all. I hate to think what would have happened if this was tryed before I quit drinking. It really is all in the mind. Jeff -- Live simply so that others may simply live. |
