I did finally go to a Doctor and regulary have check ups. I was just honest
with him about what was happening and he was very helpful. Usually, a
doctor will give you something to help take the edge off for a few days.
What was really helpful for me however was to begin doing the things I had
always intended. This could be social changes, job, or just trying to
persue a passion. While AA is effective for many, I think that there are
different strokes for different folks. Good luck. I think a good first step
is asking the basic honest questions that you are.
