Why make a career or a religious conversion out of it? Your friends
wife need only to admit that she is powerless over alcohol and that her
life has become unmanageable. Having identified the problem...., the
solution is simple. Quit. That will "strengtheneth" her more than a
bunch of slogans.
If she hasn't *reached* the point of understanding the impact/cost of
her drinking the slogans will just be a useless pain in the ass.
